Three teams to join WAC

"K2T Wisata"
Denver University, Texas-San Antonio and Texas State are reportedly headed to the Western Athletic Conference starting in 2012.
According to Andy Katz of ESPN.com, the three schools will join the conference to offset the losses of Boise State, Fresno State, and Nevada. The Broncos are leaving for the Mountain West after this season while the Bulldogs and Wolf Pack will make the move to the MWC after the 2011 season.
Multiple sources in the report state that Texas-San Antonio and Texas State will join the conference in all sports including football while Denver, which doesn’t have a FBS football program, will join in other sports.
The WAC is expected to make an announcement on Thursday.
The report also states that Montana, a perennial Football Championship Subdivision, could be considering joining the conference as well if they make the move from the FCS to the FBS.
According to the report, the WAC is looking for a nine football team conference and 10 teams for men’s and women’s basketball.
UTSA, which has just started its football program, will join the FCS in 2011 and then make the move to the FBS in 2012.
