Day Tour from Paris to Bruges

"K2T Wisata"

We all know that Paris is the city of love, and one of the main destinations when one thinks of romantic holidays. Nevertheless, it is also a huge cosmopolitan city with a hectic lifestyle, which may exhaust some of these romantic couples in search of a smaller and cozier paradise. It is for this kind of people for whom we offer, in this occasion, the chance to book a day tour from Paris to Bruges.
Bruges is located less than 270 kilometers from Paris. It is a city in Belgium, close to the border with France and also not far from the beach in the Belgian part of the North Sea. Bruges –or Brugge, as it is called in Flemish- is a small and romantic, very well-preserved medieval town. Bruges is full of canals, which account for the city also being known as the “little Venice of the north”. In the summer, we will also give you a chance to cruise down all these canals and enjoy picture-perfect views of the city.
The Day Tour from Paris to Bruges starts in the center of Paris. If your hotel in Paris is located in this area, you will be offered a hotel pick-up and drop-off service for an additional fee. If not, you will have to meet us at one of the pick-up points, the one that is better located for you.
Departure time is estimated early morning, at 7.15 am, from the center of Paris. You will board a motor coach vehicle and ride together with up to 50 people from Paris to Bruges. The bus drive will take you through the beautiful views of the north of France, all the way across the Belgian border and into the exquisite town of Bruges. The city center keeps its intact medieval atmosphere, for which it has been granted recognition as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Some say Bruges looks like a living canvas painted by some Flemish old master.
An English speaking professional guide will also ride the bus with you. Upon arrival in the city of Bruges, and once you have left the magic of Paris behind, you will be astonished by the different but still very charming magic of Bruges. The Tour from Paris to Bruges then continues with a fully narrated, guided walking tour though the medieval heart of Bruges, in which you can soak up the atmosphere.

Book your Tour from Paris to Bruges

While walking around the city center, you will see the main square or Grand Place, the quaint houses and their elaborately decorated facades, the Place du Bourg, the outdoor market the Halles –which also has an amazing belfry-, the Saint-Sang Basilica, the Beguine Convent and the Town Hall built in magnificent Gothic style.
If you travel to Paris in the summer and decide to take the Day Tour from Paris to Bruges in the months from April to October, you will also have a chance to take a short canal cruise in Bruges, by boat, in which you can see the whole city from the water, while enjoying specialized and funny commentaries by a local tour guide –available in English. This canal boat tour in Bruges is also included in the price.
When you are done with the canal tour, or in the months in which this tour is not offered –due to potential freezing and bad conditions of the water in the canals for sailing-, you will be given free time to enjoy what you like best in the city of Bruges. During that time you can, for example, visit the museums to learn more about Flemish art and history. You can also go through the shops and buy some handmade lace, which used to be the main industry back in the golden era of this region. Do not forget to try Belgian chocolates, we advise you to try Leonidas as a great combination of quality, taste and price.
Another option for your time off, especially if the queue is not too bad, is to climb the Belfry in front of the Grand Place, which is part of the Halles. It is many steps and hard work, and you might have to wait in line a bit, but the views are worth all the effort! And of course do not forget to get something to eat. Mussels with fries, croquettes and waffles are the typical Flemish and Belgian specials. You can also try Belgian beers, with their great variety of names and flavors but, be careful! Many of these beers are stronger than the regular ones. Of course during the time off, all expenses are on you.
In the afternoon, we will agree on a meeting point from where we will board the air-conditioned coach bus and return from Bruges to Paris. The total trip time is approximately 14 hours and we will drop you off in central Paris or in your hotel, if you hired this additional service, around 9.15pm.
This Day Tour from Paris to Bruges is not offered every day but only on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. At any of these times you can book your day tour for 146 euros. If you wish to include pick-up and drop-off services to and from your hotel in Paris, the total price for the Day Tour will be 171 euros. Babies and young children up to three years of age can travel for free with accompanying adults. Children and teenagers 4 to 17 years of age page a reduced fee of 73 euros, which goes up to 120 euros if you wish to include hotel pick-up and drop-off services.
We look forward to seeing you soon in Paris! Remember: if you would like to get out of the big city but still keep the romantic atmosphere for your trip, our Day Tour from Paris to Bruges might be what you are looking for! Enjoy Paris!

CDG airport from Paris

"K2T Wisata"

If you take a flight to Paris and arrive in the International Airport Charles de Gaulle (Airport Code: CDG), it is quite easy to get to the city of Paris: you just follow the signs to public transportation or taxis and then choose what you like the most.
Often times, taking the regional trains (RER) from CDG Airport to Paris is also very simple: you follow the “RER” signs and arrive at the platform, where a train will either be stopped there, waiting for its departure time, or one will be about to arrive to take you a bit later. You can enter the train, put your luggage on the racks and relax.
Bear in mind you should get your ticket for the train at the airport, before you board the train. If you were in Paris before, you can also get these tickets in advance in the vending machines available in train and metro stations.
Now, the problem may arise when you have to do the other way around: after a few days in Paris, you will have to take a flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and you are trying to find which the best way to get there is.
From Paris to CDG by SNCF train
The airport is served by an SNCF railway station, in which national and international trains arrive to CDG Airport. Called “Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 – TGV”, this station is located between terminals 2C-2D and 2E-2F.
As for reaching your terminal from there, the CDG airport’s website explains you can use the moving walkways to reach terminals 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, though it advises to take line 1 shuttle to terminals 2A and 2B, and the N2 bus shuttle from terminal 2C, entrance 4, if you need to go to terminal 2G. If your terminal is 1 or 3, they advise to take the CDGVAL shuttle train, which is free of charge. Please make sure to follow these recommendations, since CDG is a very large airport.
Allow lots of time for the shuttle train or bus, as they may take a bit to come and then stop in several terminals. Also, particularly with SNCF trains, but with all French public transportation, be aware of the fact that the unions of train and metro workers are strong, which often leads to “greves” or strikes that interrupt the regular flow of public transportation. You should always have a plan B, just in case.
From Paris to CDG by RER train
If you decide to go for the regional trains, the RER B line charges 8.40 euros for a one way trip from Paris-Châtelet les Halles to the CDG Airport. You can get on the train in the intermediate stops, or combine this ticket with the metro –to reach a RER B stop-, the fare will still be the same. Remember to keep your ticket with you at all times, since you will be required to use it not only to get on the metro and train stations, but also to exit the train station and get into the CDG Airport.
When taking the RER train, allow yourself some extra time. It is frequent for the RER B to be late, to have some “last minute” problems that prevent some of the trains from coming –as many as 2 or 3 consecutive trains may not show up- or to change the places it stops with no much prior notice. These things happen especially on rush hour and it is frequent that tourists miss their flights from Paris when not having the extra time and flexibility for these unexpected changes.
Another problem when trains are late or when many are cancelled is that, when a train finally comes, it will be very crowded and you might not be able to get on it. A good tip –given by a Moroccan girl that has worked in the Airport area for 2 years and takes the RER B every day- is to wait for the train right where you have a surveillance camera pointing at you, since that is a point where a door opens. Otherwise, if the train is crowded and you’re standing in between two doors, you probably won’t make it in the train on time. Don’t panic with the crowds, a lot of people get off in Gare du Nord and you will have a chance to sit down.
The RER B stops in the aforementioned “Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 – TGV” station, but also in the previous “Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1” station, serving terminals 1 and 3.
From Paris to CDG by bus
A more comfortable option, though it can take a bit longer, is to take a bus or shuttle bus. Although there are many buses listed in the CDG website, here are the most common ones to take from Paris:
The Roissy Bus takes you from Opera station, in the center of Paris, to CDG terminals 2A, 2C, 2E-2F, 2D, 2B, 3 and 1 for 9.40 euros. The journey takes from 45 minutes to an hour, but you should count some extra time for traffic, especially in rush hours.
Bus 350 leaves from Gare de L’est and bus 351 from Nation station, in Paris. Both stop in CDG in terminals 2A, 2C, 2E-2F, 2D, 2B and 1. As with the Roissy Bus, the journey takes 45 to 60 minutes, but you should count some extra time for traffic, especially in rush hours.
Also Air France has a shuttle service, Les Cars, which can be used by passengers of all airlines for a fee. Line 2 leaves from downtown Parisian stations Etoile and Porte Maillot; the cost is 15 euros. Line 3 departs from Paris Orly airport –terminals south and west- and costs 19 euros. Line 4 leaves from the center of Paris, Gare Montparnasse and Gare de Lyon station, taking passengers to CDG for 16.50 euros. All these services stop in the same terminals as the 350 buses. Journeys are estimated in 45, 60 and 50 minutes –respectively- but, as always, you should allow extra time.
The Noctilien Night Bus connects the Paris Gare de L’est with CDG for 6.40 euros. It is quoted to take 60 minutes for the complete journey.
Other buses arriving in CDG are the Val d’Europe Airports Shuttle (VEA) to Disneyland Paris Parks and hotels, and the Filéo Roissy to several towns in the departments of Val d’Oise, Seine-Saint-Denis and Seine-et-Marn.
Whatever the transportation you take remember, if you are on your way to take a flight from Paris and you do not want to miss it, you should always allow extra time, just in case. ¡Have a safe trip!

St. Jilji Church Prague

"K2T Wisata"
St. Jilji Religion is set on a supernatural, tapering street in the courageousness of Prague, warm to the famous Old Municipality Tract. Poilane Butter Cookies

"K2T Wisata"
DES
As much as I like rich, sinful desserts and decadent chocolate, one of my favorite things are simple butter cookies. Poilane has one of the best butter cookies/sables I have ever had and if I were on a dessert or desert island and had to choose one dessert, they would be a definite contender. They are called punitions and ‘Punition’ is French for ‘punishment’. The name comes from a little game Pierre Poilâne’s grandmother used to play. She would call over her grandchildren seemingly to punish them and, instead, would open her palms to reveal a handful of butter cookies! The prettily scalloped edges on the bite size cookies, the crunch, and the buttery taste make me want to keep popping them in my mouth endlessly till I get a tummy ache. They come about 25 to a bag and sell for 6.10 euros at the Poilane shop or other outlets like gourmet shops, cheese shops, and grocery stores. The shop also sells them in a 125 gram white gift box, neatly packed in stacks. They also come in a star shape for the holidays. Beware: the shop offers a free sample basket and they don't seem to mind when I dig in and put as many in my hand as I possibly can. I do finger stretches before I go in there so I can grab even more.

Do you like my Martha Stewart-like food and prop styling I did in my apartment using my own dishes and backgrounds? Maybe Martha should hire me to be her Paris correspondant.

the Garden of Rodin Museum

"K2T Wisata"
RODIN-SNOW-6
Snow is an uncommon occurrence in Paris and snow that sticks is practically a miracle. Last Saturday morning about 11AM the snow came swiftly and steadily, and I watched with baited breath to see if it would stick. Stick it did, and I was racking my brain deciding where I should go to take photos. The garden at the Rodin museum is one of my favorite places in the summer and I thought, imagine how beautiful the great black Rodin statues would look dusted with pure white snow. The wonderful surprise was there two were massive white Henri Moore sculptures and the texture of the snow on the white marble is quite stunning. If you are ever lucky enough to be in Paris when the snow sticks, treat yourself to the garden at the Rodin museum and let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Enjoy Christmas in a Parisian Cabaret

"K2T Wisata"
Have you decided where you will be spending Christmas? Have you ever been to Paris before? Why not try some tourism in Paris for this holiday season? Known as the “city of lights” or the “city of love” Paris is a very magical and romantic destination. A trip to Paris for spending Christmas holidays in Paris can be a very special event for you and your loved ones.
Paris is a popular destination year round, and also in Christmas time. Still, since a lot of people choose to spend Christmas at home, Christmas in Paris is also a time to enjoy the best of tourism in Paris. After all, you will not have to stand the long queues, which will save lots of your time for really enjoying the sightseeing of the best touristic landmarks of Paris, taking tours through Paris and getting to know the city in-depth, with the added charm of the Christmas atmosphere.
Also at this time of the year, and knowing some people need an extra incentive to choose to spend Christmas away from home, hotels in Paris and flights to Paris offer special prices and budget-friendly packages. That is the case especially if you book in advance, but last minute specials should be around soon.
Christmas in Paris offers a combination of all you wish for: pleasant sightseeing, a romantic environment, cold but nice weather, specially incorporated Christmas lights all over the city, shopping and holiday markets. But that is not all Paris is about, it is also about the nightlife, the good clubs and, of course, the cabarets, which also take part in the Christmas atmosphere by offering some specials.
But what are the cabarets after all? Cabarets are a form of entertainment that mixes comedy with musical, dance and theater. This takes place, in general, in restaurants or nightclubs, with a person acting as the master of ceremonies. In some cases, this kind of entertainment is combined with that of Mediterranean style brothels, where women entertain the clients. The two most famous cabarets in Paris are the Moulin Rouge and the Lido. Let’s see what they have to offer for Christmas in Paris:
Lido de Paris: Christmas dinner and show
The legendary Lido de Paris is located in the well-known Avenue des Champs Élysées and famous for its “revues”. The “revue” is a popular theater entertainment that consists in multiple acts combining music, sketches and dance. Opened in 1946, the Lido adopted this genre, original from the 19th century American melodrama and popular entertainment. From then on, “the world’s most famous cabaret” –as described in the Lido’s official website- constantly plays different revues to entertain its crowded public.
Currently, those who take a trip to Paris can see the popular “Bonheur” revue on stage. The word “Bonheur” is French for happiness, as the story is about a woman’s quest for happiness. The 90 minutes long revue recounts the story of this woman in four parts or “tableaux”, together with very nice and elaborate costumes, fascinating detailed settings, magical lighting, captivating music, lots of special effects and special acts, which make for a night of pure happiness.
Designed by Pierre Rambert, Artistic Director of the Lido, this new revue establishes a good balance between the respect for the grand tradition of legendary Lido shows and a new, surprising, contemporary vision. Bonheur is led by the Lido Boy Dancers and the Bluebell Girls.
So if you are doing tourism in Paris this December and want to find a good place where to spend Christmas Eve, you may be interested in the Christmas dinner and show offered by the glamorous Le Lido de Paris, right on the beautiful Paris’s Champs Élysées.

After dinner, and once done with all the champagne, you can take your partner and dance to the orchestra, while enjoying a spectacular night in Paris. By 9pm lights will start to dim. Soon the curtains of the stage will rise and by 9.30pm the “Bonheur” show will start.

Transportation is not included, but we can help you find appropriate pick up and drop off services if you need them.
Bear in mind for this special night the dress code is formal. Also, you should let us know when booking if you have specific dietary restrictions or requirements. Try to book in advance, as Le Lido is an extremely popular venue and shows tend to sell out some weeks in advance, which is even more frequent for a Christmas Eve special like this one.
